چکیده مقاله:

Rapid development in the biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles using plant extracts has attracted extensive interest to further investigate this novel and eco-friendly method. Many plants have been continuously discovered for the biological synthesis of nanoparticles. Some salient features of this procedure, including simplicity, cost-effectiveness, easy availability, higher reducing potential, and less contamination, have drawn much attention to this method. This investigation discusses the synthesis of a novel Copper Schiff base nanocomposite using the incorporation of biochemically synthesized copper nanoparticles from the extract of Curcuma longa immobilized on a Schiff base complex in an eco-friendly manner. The physicochemical characterization of the as-prepared nanocomposite was attained by some techniques, such as Transition Emission Microscopy (TEM) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The bioactive Curcuma longa extract might act as a reducing agent or stabilizer during the synthesis of Cu nanoparticles. The nanocomposite showed noticeable biological activities, such as antioxidant, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, versus various pathogenic organisms.
