A review of psychosocial care in breast cancer patients in Iran

Breast cancer is one of the most common women's health problems in the world, and its incidence and mortality patterns have undergone many changes in the last few decades. Iran, as one of the developing countries, is undergoing an epidemiological transition from infectious diseases to chronic diseases, including cancer. When a stressful situation like the news of cancer is given to a person, according to the fact that this disease creates anxiety in the person and affects his mental balance, it creates different a doubling of the disease burden. As a stressful event, cancer may have negative effects on many aspects of a person's life. When a stressful situation such as the news of cancer is given to a person [۴, ۵], according to the fact that the disease may cause anxiety in the person and affect his mental balance, it creates different reactions [۷]. Providing supportive palliative care is equally important in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of compiling a review of psychosocial care for breast cancer patients in Iran.
