Application of polyvinyliden fluoride (PVDF) membrane for treating a real industrial wastewater

Discharging dyeing wastewater into environment is a problematic matter in all over the world. Therefore, in the present research a PVDF membrane was applied to reject dyes from a real baker’s yeast production wastewater. The operating pressure, COD concentration and pH levels were considered at three levels to evaluate the performance of PVDF membrane. from the results, dye removal was enhanced by an increase in operating pressure and COD concentration. Also, neutral pH was recognized as a favor pH level to obtain higher dye removal.
