چکیده مقاله:

The integration of probiotics into skincare products has emerged as a notable trend in the beauty industry, driven by their recognized health benefits and potential to enhance gut microbiota. This comprehensivereview explores the scientific evidence supporting the use of topical probiotics in addressing variousdermatological conditions, including acne, atopic dermatitis, photo aging, psoriasis, and wound healing.Understanding probiotics as live microorganisms that confer health benefits when administered in adequateamounts is essential to appreciate their potential in skincare. Recent research underscores the critical roleof gut microbiota in systemic inflammation and skin health, prompting exploration of the gut-skin axis andthe application of probiotics in dermatological therapy. In acne treatment, topical probiotics have shownpromise in reducing acne severity, inflammation, and modulating skin microbiota balance. Similarly, inatopic dermatitis, probiotics have demonstrated efficacy in enhancing skin barrier function, reducinginflammation, and improving symptoms. Probiotics have also emerged as a potential solution in anti-agingskincare, with studies indicating their ability to mitigate oxidative stress, promote collagen production, andenhance skin barrier function. Moreover, preliminary research suggests their efficacy in wound healing bypreventing infections, regulating inflammation, and promoting tissue repair. While the use of topical probiotics holds promise, regulatory approval and safety considerations remainimportant considerations. Future research aims to deepen our understanding of probiotics' mechanisms ofaction and optimize their use in skincare routines, paving the way for innovative probiotic-based therapiesin dermatology.
