A set of experiments was initiated to investigate effects of Prandtl number on the thermal performance of offset strip fins and to verify the extension of Kays and London air test data to liquids. An offset strip fin ۶.۲۵ cm x ۰.۹۳۸ cm (۲.۵" x ۰.۳۷۵") was tested for air, water, and ethylene glycol at Reynolds numbers from ۳۰ to ۲۷۰۰. Results are shown to correlate according to Nu = ۰.۲۰ Re ۰.۴۵ P۳۵ and f = ۱۲.۱۸ Re ۰.۴۷ for liquids with Prandtl numbers ranging from ۴ to ۷۰.
